What You can buy and sell on www.craftique.us

What you can sell and buy on www.craftique.us…

With so many big name places to sell and buy your items on and so many questions I have received as to what can be sold on www.caftique.us, I decided to start a “running” list of items.

These are from questions I have received from emails and want to post so everyone will know.

First is ART. But what is ART. Naturally when you mention art, people think of paintings, sculptures and things of the sort. There are many different kinds of media that people use to create their art work with. There are fiber artist, paper artist, art that is captured through the lens of a camera, art that is created with wood, metal and all can be combined together for a collage of art that is in itself beautiful. A knitter that makes a scarf is in essence creating art as that is their design and work they put into making/creating the item.

Any kind of “art” can be sold on craftique as you as the artist know your work.

The category that you place it in is your choice. Categories are to help buyers that are looking for a particular item, know what they want and go looking for it in a category that would possibly have it listed.

You will not be restricted to one category on craftique as some things just need to be in more.

Next we will have books and magazines. Who doesn’t love books! I collect old craft books and am always looking for them. I do have an e-reader as many do but there is something about having “in hand” that old book that is wonderful.

Cook books are another great item to sell and post especially old ones. They have the best recipes that included things like using real butter, using plain flour, old canning techniques and there is a world of collectors of old cook books.

Children’s books old and new are always a great sell item because some people do not have the time to go to the big book stores to search for that one special book for their child.

So go through your books and craft magazines because you just might have that special book or magazine that someone needs.

I had an old woodworking magazine that was about 7 years old. Nothing special and I posted it for sale and immediately had a buyer that offered me a lot of money for it. He wanted it because his elderly father had at one time that very magazine and wanted it again.

So you just never know what you have that others need.

I had a question about e books and materials like patterns (PDF) and such. We will have the process for you to sell your e material to others. Zine writers get busy because there is a very popular market for these items.

So this is enough for today and I will continue with the list tomorrow.

If you have any questions please post on here or email the general email craftique.us@gmail.com.

Happy Holidays to all!
